Something I enjoyed from week 3 and 4: Geometry because it was something different

Something that challenged me during week 3 and 4: Geometry challenged me because it was hard to get it done on time

A value I have been showing consistently and how: Connect because i have been hanging with different people

A value that I think I need to improve on and how: Be brave

Geometry

During Maths week (week 4), we have been focussing on Geometry. We had a choice of 10 different Geometry based activities. We needed to select 5 different activities and provide evidence when completed.

The evidence I collected:

What I enjoyed about this maths week was: Getting to do different stuff that we wouldn't usually do in maths

What challenged me during this week: Getting it done on time and making sure the marble run didn't fall over

My next step in Geometry is: Making all of my stuff better

Some work I am proud of… (add evidence and a brief explanation) I am proud of completing my passion project because we made Nachos and they tasted really nice

Something that has challenged me this week is… (explain why) Completing my reading hop Scotch because I kept getting distracted

A school value that I have worked hard at achieving this week is… (add evidence and a brief explanation) Connect and a little bit of be brave because I have been talking to people I normally never do.

A school value that I need to work on is… (explain why) Respect because I have been talking on the mat.

This fortnights Tōtara goal was Time Management and I achieved/showed this by being at the right place at the right time and completing my work so I don't need to do lunch time catchup.

What is my personal goal for next week? Show more respect because I didn't really show much this week. To listen when the teachers are talking.

Tōtara Weekly Reflection

Tōtara Weekly Reflection
Term: 1 Week: 4

Something I am proud of from camp:
I am proud of making it all the way to the top of the giant swing because I am a little scared of heights and me and my dad where the only people to make it to the top.

A highlight from camp for me was making it to the top of the high ropes three times and some bits I had to climb they were taller than me.

What challenged me over last two weeks? The thing that challenged me was getting all my activity's done at camp because it was poring down and we were getting soaked.

How did I overcome these challenges or what do I need to do to overcome them in the future? Next time I just don't need worry about the rain.

This fortnights Tōtara goal was active listening and I achieved/showed this by always turning my body around and always listening.

Next week I would like to achieve in class is listen more.
